Today WTBU interviewed All Ages Movement Project coordinator Kevin Erickson. AMP is a national nonprofit that connects all-ages venues and youth music organizations around the country, so that people who run all ages spaces/organizations can learn from one another, become stronger, and grow.
We talked about the history and goals of AMP, their tactics for connecting organizations, and the importance of all ages venues/organizations. Download an mp3 of the entire interview here.
AMP is currently in the running to win $50,000 from Pepsi's "Refresh Everything" contest! If AMP wins, they plan to put some of the money towards publishing a book on organizing all-ages venues, and funding a national book tour. Check out the contest here, vote for AMP, and help make all-ages music happen in every town!
